Optimal power flow solution using fuzzy mathematical programming

    This paper aims at applying a fuzzy mathematical programming technique to optimal power flow calculation, which is widely used for voltage reactive power control keeping the bus voltage and bus reactive power within allowable limits and minimizing the transmission loss. The fuzzy optimal load discussed herein is useful for dealing with the cases where the upper and lower bounds have to be determined on the basis of the planners' subjective judgment. The proposed fuzzy optimal load flow method makes it possible to find feasible solutions even if the deterministic method fails.
