Abstract
Oxidative acetoxylation of toluene and benzene using molecular oxygen was carried out over supported palladium catalysts in the temperature range of 453-493 K at atmospheric pressure. It was found that the addition of gold on silica-supported palladium promoted acetoxylation of toluene and benzene.
