Abstract

We demonstrate low phase noise characteristics of millimeter (MM) waves using Mach-Zehnder-modulator-based flat comb generator. MM waves are generated by beating optical two modes extracted from a comb signal. The rms phase noise of the signal measured at 37.5 GHz was 0.02 rad.
