Photoabsorption spectra of I and its ions in the 4d region

Abstract

The photoionization cross-section 4d electrons for I, I+, I2+, and I3+ between 60 and 130 eV were calculated using linear density-response theory and density-functional theory with an optimized effective potential and self-interaction correction. Peaks in the theoretical spectra of I+ and I2+ were identified.
