Abstract

Error-free polarization division multiplexed (PDM) 10-Gbps × 2-PDM transmission over a 3.7-km-long holey fiber in the 1-m waveband, which are shown to be capable of 8.4-THz bandwidth transmission, is successfully demonstrated for the first time.
