Abstract

A π-conjugated poly(1,2-phenylenevinylene) functionalized with the photolysis group, poly[4-(3′,5′-di-t-butyl-4′- (2″,4″,6″-tri-t-butylphenyloxalato)-phenyl)-1, 2-phenylenevinylene] was synthesized. The synthesized polymer was irradiated by white light in the solid phase and at low temperature. Irradiation induced the photochemical generation of phenoxy radicals.
