Abstract

For carrier-assisted PDM-CO-OFDM systems, we propose and demonstrate a practical carrier recovery method applying a very-simple moving average filter (MAF). Besides simplicity, we confirm its excellent performance from the results of a 16-QAM, 40-Gbps OFDM transmission experiment.
