Abstract

Transducers based on mechanical resonators can offer good repeatability, resolution and stability, and frequency can be measured accurately and inexpensively. We have been developing transducers for force, pressure and density measurement using mechanical resonators. Some of these transducers are now in the product state - a double-ended tuning fork and a cylindrical resonator. This paper covers construction, principles and features of these transducers.
