    Abstract

This paper aims to propose a practical method to decide transmission routes for wheeling to a specific contract between a supplier and a customer based on determination of transmission path. At first a methodology is presented based on mathematical programming technique for evaluating the wholesale or retail prices in a power market which ensures not only the recovery of expense for utilities or regional networks but also provide reasonable electricity prices for consumers, reflecting the market competition. It is possible to obtain the solution by just one iteration regarding various kinds of fundamental data used in system analysis. The related transmission route is identified easily by investigating of transmission power flows with respect to generator outputs and load demands. It has been shown that the proposed pricing of wheeling charge and also is able to solve the transmission congestion and loop flow problem.
