Proposal of a methodology for supporting generation of new eco-business ideas

As global environmental issues have become aggravated, "Eco" become one of competitive advantages in the business because of increasing consumers' environmental consciousness. However, it is difficult to lead eco-business to the success in both of environmental and economic aspects because of three features of eco-business; external diseconomies, unrecognition of environmental value in the market, requirement for restructuring of business model. For solving this problem, it is effective to support finding out Eco-business ideas. The purpose of this study is to propose the methodology that supports generation of eco-business ideas. This paper proposes the methodology, which has 8 steps, such as generation, settling, evaluation, through the investigation of eco-business and makes sure of its effectiveness through workshop.
