PS-QPSK with duobinary-shaping and MLSD reception for constructing power-and spectrum-efficient superchannel

Abstract

By deploying duobinary-shaping and MLSD reception, we propose and implement a power-efficient superchannel consists of 32Gbaud PS-QPSK channels on a 25GHz grid, demonstrating 3.84-bit/s/Hz spectrum efficiency and 1.6-dB higher sensitivity than PM-QPSK superchannel.
