Abstract
To realize the optical computed tomography (CT) using backscattered light, a technique was developed to reconstruct the absorption distribution in diffuse media. Through computer simulation, the fundamental effectiveness of this technique was verified. The accuracy of this technique can be increased by the improvement in the linear approximation of the given fundamental equation, and in the appropriate choice of sampling times of the detected pulse shape.
