Abstract
A connection was made between spatially inhomogeneous models and group selection and/or "altruims". Focus was on the multigenerational fitness of strains as a dynamic property of organisms in spatially inhomogeneous environments. It was shown that the local depletion of the resource by organisms is ultimately detrimental to their survival.
