Abstract

A semiconductor fiber-optic ring laser gyroscope, which consist of a semiconductor optical amplifier as a gain medium and polarization-maintaining fiber to form a ring resonator, generate Sagnac beat signals demonstrating good agreement with theoretical calculations. (35 words)
