Abstract

First experimental demonstration of an SDN monitoring and restoration architecture for spectral/spatial superchannels with SDM/WDM transceivers that monitor the BER/OSNR to detect soft failures and restore the degraded channels by reconfiguring the transmission formats over an 11-km 6-mode 19-core fiber.
