Secondary radar using frequency doubling for non-line-of-sight pedestrian detection

Abstract

This paper reports an experimental result on a secondary radar for detection of hidden pedestrians. A transponder carried by a pedestrian responds to a radio-wave transmitted from a car. The distance between the transponder and the car can be measured by a dual-frequency CW radar scheme or an oversampling-based configuration.
