Semiconductor tunable lasers based on integrated waveguide filters for wavelength routing applications

Abstract

We present two types of tunable lasers with integrated waveguide filters; one using a ladder-type filter, the other using double-ring resonators. Their characteristics and applications to wavelength routing in photonic networks are described.
