Abstract
Push-out loading tests were carried out to clarify the ultimate strength and deformation of shear connectors in composite members. Angles, channels, and T shapes were used as the shear connectors. The tests have shown that the differences of ultimate strength, crack formation, failure modes, and so on occurred among the specimens with respective shear connectors. An empirical equation is presented for determining the load-carrying capacity of shear connectors by shape steel.
