Abstract
A questionnaire method of the fuzzy rating scale data is actively put to practical use with high efficiency because of the relatively high reliability or easy handling of the data. As a structural analysis method of the rating scale data, the semantic structure analysis (SS analysis) is proposed. The SS analysis is a method to interpret human daily activities or psychological sides from the item order, to whose structure attention is paid with the intention to build up structure of the items. In the SS analysis, rating allows a discrete fixed-point on the scale to be designated (fixed-point rating). However in some cases, it is difficult in the reality for evaluators to be confident of a specific discrete fixed-point as a rating value. Thus a method to make rating in a range (fuzzy rating) has to be contrived. In this paper, a method of the structural analysis allowing the fuzzy rating scale data to be dealt with as fuzzy data is proposed.
