Abstract

The impact of asymmetric pre-filtering for 42.7Gbit/s CS-RZ DPSK signals were investigated experimentally and numerically, including 9000km WDM transmission experiments. We have found that asymmetric pre-filtering is effective for quasi-linear system applications.
