    Abstract

    For polarization-independent and low-crosstalk switching operation of an Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) type photonic switch using Multi-mode interference (MMI) couplers, It was found that the combination of highmesa MMI waveguides and a middle-mesa phase-shifter was quite efficient.
