Abstract

Recently, LED lights are widely used for substitution of conventional bulbs. LED lights have many advantages in comparison with conventional bulbs such as long life and low power consumption. But, performance of LED lights is decreased by thermal problems. To solve these thermal problems, many types of heatsink are used for heat dissipation. So, various types of heatsinks have been studied by many researchers. But, that studies were not specific for LED light. Therefore, in this study, we measured the thermal performance for various fin numbers of the heat sink with triangular shaped plate fin in the natural convection.
