Abstract

A Ginzburg-Landau theory, in which a normal phase and an order parameter are, respectively, the L12 structure and the charge-density wave, is proposed to explain features of the incommensurate to M=2 commensurate transition in long-period superlattices of A3B-type alloys. Predicted features are found to be consistent with those obtained experimentally.
