Abstract

meso-Tetrakis(α, α, α, α-o-pivalamidophenyl)porphinato-iron(II) derivative is incorporated into thermophilic xylanases, giving novel thermostable synthetic hemoproteins, which can form a dioxygen adduct in aqueous media (pH 7.3) at 90°C.
