Abstract
A unique thrombin inhibitor, named toxadocial A (1) has been isolated from the marine sponge Toxadocia cylindrica, and its structure was determined by spectroscopic and chemical methods to be a persulfated 7, 17, 31, 41-tetrahydroxyheptatetracontane-23-carbaldehyde.
