Abstract

We propose and demonstrate the optical multiband receiving method which supports transmission of a 16-QAM, 213.7-Gb/s (189.7-Gb/s) DDO-OFDM super-channel over 720-km SSMF. After transmission all the 9 OFDM bands exhibit BERs lower than the FEC threshold (BER = 3.8e-3).
