Abstract

In this paper we introduced two power-efficient CO-OFDM systems and showed that both systems can have ~1-dB gain in receiving sensitivity (BER = 1e-3) and exhibit ~1.1-dB benefit in Q factor after 9360-km transmission when compared with the regular PDM-CO-OFDM.
