Unidirectional beam emission from confocal Quasi-Stadium laser diodes

Abstract

Unidirectional beam emission was obtained from strained InGaAsP multiple-quantum-well quasi-stadium laser diodes. The unidirectional beam emission can be explained by the phase locking of two resonator modes with different symmetry classes.
