Abstract

In recent years, design process has become more complicated due to increase in factors to consider. Thus, a need for design process facilitation is apparent in architectural design. We first specify the design process of a basic office building by using DSM, an analytical method. We then analyze reworks occurred in design process in detail by conducting 4 case studies. Finally, we find the potential rework rate for each case, which was 28.4%~38.1% in general office buildings. Meanwhile, the rate was only 17.9% for the environmental office building.
