Abstract

We propose the M-switching technique to realize a high sensitivity and wide dynamic range 10Gbit/s APD burst receiver. Experiments show that the combination of M-switching and FEC realizes high sensitivity (-31.4dBm) and wide dynamic range (24.4dB).
