A high efficiency CMOS rectifier with ON-OFF response compensation for wireless power transfer in biomedical applications

    This paper presents a high efficiency comparator-based CMOS rectifier for wireless power transfer in biomedical implant devices. By using a novel ON-OFF compensation technology, the conduction time of the switch can be optimized and the reverse current has been reduced efficiently. The proposed rectifier was verified using a standard 0.18μm CMOS process. Results shows that the rectifier can achieve a maximum voltage conversion efficiency of 96% and power efficiency near to 91%.
