In this paper, we present active sequential emulsion of two reagents isolated in micro droplets in various numbers and ratios. The mixing vicinity consists on main and side channel separated by pillar array. Selective plugs merging in different volumes are successfully achieved by varying the flow resistance of the main and side channel controlled by deformable PDMS horizontal micro valves. Rapidly and controllably merging of reagents in different and low volumes (μl, nl, pl) makes this device more effective choice in the large area exploration of chemicals in pharmaceutical and food industries.
