Analysis of scale-free networks based on a threshold graph with intrinsic vertex weights

The scale-free networks based on a threshold graph with intrinsic vertex weights, were described. The network model, which was based on thresholding of the intrinsic summed vertex weights belonging to the class of networks, was analyzed. The power-law degree distributions, with the dynamically stable scaling exponent 2, realistic clustering, and short path lengths were produced for various weight distributions. It was observed that the thresholding mechanisms can underlie a family of real complex networks which is characterized by cooperativeness and the baseline scaling exponent 2. The results show that the cooperative thresholding mechanisms yield different characteristics from those of growing types of networks.
