Comparison of wavefront coding optical system using two conjugate phase masks among cubic, sinusoidal, and tangent phase masks

    Wavefront coding is an effective technique for extending the depth of field. We verified the usefulness of the method of generating symmetrical point spread function by using two conjugate phase masks. According to the results of this study, this method is effective at a small defocus.
