Complex check-like cross-sectional flow formation for fiber-shaped materials

We developed functional sheath flow of specific cross section using 3D stacked PDMS structure. The device was fabricated by four layer PDMS structures consist of two cylindrical channels with cross injection inlets. In the multi-stacked 3D device, check-like cross section on a cylindrical flow was successfully formed and 100μm diameter alginate fiber of single core divided into four parts was achieved.
