Development of biomagnetic measurement system for mice with high spatial resolution

The use of high spatial resolution superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer for evaluating the biomagnetic signals of mica was examined. A magnetometer with a pickup coil of 1.0 mm diameter was used to improve the spatial resolution and magnetic field sensitivity. It was found that the magnetocardiogram of the wild house was measured as the initial application of the system. The data collected demonstrated that mica MEG (magnetoencephalogram) could be measured by the development system to visualize the change of neuronal activity in transgenic mice.
