Dynamic olfactmetry is well known for the method for evaluating Perceived Air Quality(PAQ). It uses test facilities that can control the quality of the environmental variables and can assess the perceived odor intensity and acceptability by trained and non-trained panels, but requires sophisticated electric apparatuses. The purpose of this study is to develop a more simple and easy-to-use method that can evaluate odor from various building materials by plural panels simultaneously. It had led our research group to develop the dynamic odor bottle method. This paper will present the results of panel test on four kinds of wooden materials under varying conditions of sniffing ports (SP), air flow rates and loading factors. As a result, types of SP and air loading factors influenced assessment level of odor.
