抄録

Steel plant simulators simulate the behavior of various iron and steel manufacturing processes by computers. They are used to design the equipment and control systems of steel plants and support their operations. They are useful also in the development of steel production and plant control technologies. Many plant simulators have been developed as minicomputer, workstation, and mainframe software programs for studying the control systems of iron and steel manufacturing processes. This paper outlines these steel plant simulators, and describes the constructions, mathematical models, and practical application results of such representative simulators as the coke oven simulator, reheating furnace simulator, hot rolling mill simulator, and plate cooling process simulator.
