Deviation of dielectric properties in magnesium titanate ceramics

抄録

Extremely low loss and high permittivity magnesium titanate (MgTiO3) ceramics has been developed as a medium in the composition of miniaturized microwave filters. This dielectric ceramics is characterized by the facts that the molar composition of major component materials, MgO and TiO2, is a little deviated from the stoichiometric ratio and that a 3rd component material, CaO, is added for compensation of temperature characteristics. The permittivity (εr), unloaded Q (Qu) and temperature coefficients of resonator frequency (T.C(f)) of this material are estimated to be εr=20, Qu=9000 at 6.3 GHz and T.C(f)=0±2 ppm/°C.
