Dynamic response improvement of discrete sliding mode controlled switching power converter via double integral

    This paper presents the dynamic response improvement of discrete sliding mode controlled switching power converter via double integral. When the error of output voltage and its differential are used, the designed discrete sliding mode controller causes large steady state error when applied to a DC-DC Buck switching power converter. When an integral item is added, the steady state decreases. However, it still remains an issue because the steady state error is still obvious. This paper proposed a discrete sliding mode control with double integral, which reduced the steady state error of output voltage to -1.0% ∼ 1.0% according to experiment results. Dynamic response comparisons were also performed among no integral, single integral, and double integral.
