Electrical breakdown characteristics of liquid-crystal polymer

Liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) are expected to find their way into a variety of uses because they are superior to most types of existing engineering plastics in mechanical and thermal properties. LCP must have an improved dielectric strength in the high temperature region if it can be successfully used as insulating material. The present report describes the results of an experimental investigation on the temperature-dependence of dielectric strength of LCP.
