Electro-optic modulator using millimeter-wave gap-embedded patch antenna with stacked structure

    We propose new electro-optic modulators using gap-embedded patch antennas with stacked structure. Utilizing stacked structure, the antenna gain, electric field for modulation, and interaction length increase, then modulation efficiency increases 3.65 dB at 60 GHz.
