N2 - Characteristics of human motion, such as walking, running or jumping vary from person to person. Differences in human motion enable people to identify oneself or a friend. However, it is challenging to generate animation where individual characters exhibit characteristic motion using computer graphics. In our research, differences between an average motion in some sample motions and a target motion are considered as characteristics target motion includes. We are able to synthesize gait animation having exaggerated characteristics by increasing the differences. The synthesized motion is represented as PCA (Principal Component Analysis) score in PCA space composed of sample motions. In the experiment of looking for a target motion from crowd, we estimate the optimum degree of exaggerated characteristics to minimize the finding time of the target motion.
