High performance multiple E. coli cell sorting system using thrmosensitive hydrogel and fluorescence spectrum detection

Three kinds of Escherichia coli (E. coli) cells, labeled with different fluorescent proteins (GFP, Phi-Yellow, or DsRed), were successfully separated with the recovery ratio of more than 80% and the purity of more than 90% in a multiple sorting system. In the case of GFP labeled E. coli cells, 99.8±0.3% in purity was achieved and more than 1000 E.coli cells were separated within 60 min.
