A technique was developed to suppress the effect of scattering in the transillumination imaging through random media. Through experimental study, the feasibility of this technique was verified. A practical measurement technique to use this principle was devised and its effectiveness was demonstrated. This principle seems to be applicable to improve the visibility in various random media. Further study is required to clarify the mechanism of this effect and to find the optimal condition to see through scattering random media.
