抄録
Muscle architecture is a concept based on muscle geometry, in which distinct levels exist from sarcomeres to whole muscle. In general, muscle architecture determines functional characteristics of muscle together with intrinsic properties such as fiber composition. In this article, an account is given on the specificity and plasticity of muscle architecture and their influence on muscle functions.
