There is urgent demand worldwide for the realization of low-energy buildings. It still remains heat loss and high risk of moisture condensation occurrence at glass of window because they have relatively poor insulating qualities and usually contribute the greatest heat loss by heat conduction in residential buildings. To solve these problems, this paper proposes air supply type airflow window system applied to window combine with a mechanical ventilator. We present the thermal performance of dynamic insulation (DI) windows based on field tests in the winter and summer. Using an experimental house, we verified the effect of DI windows on the thermal insulation performance and the risk of condensation on the window frame surface. DI windows are a very practical technology that works equally well in hot and cold regions.
