Mesoscopic simulation and damage estimation of mortar under high-stress fatigue loading

Analytical system for mortar failure under time-dependent loading was extended to high strain rate range by improving the time-dependent constitutive model of Rigid Body Spring Model. Using the model, experimental results of mortar specimens subjected to high strain rate loading and fatigue loadings were well simulated. Furthermore, damage accumulation of mortar under fatigue loading was explained in terms of the degradation in residual strength. It was confirmed analytically that damage accumulation of mortar is not proportional to number of loading cycles but suddenly increase near the failure point.
