Novel Boundary Element Formulation in Hybrid FE-BE Method for Electromagnetic Field Computations

This paper proposes a novel boundary element formulation using the scalar potential in the hybrid finite element (FE) and boundary element (BE) method for the electromagnetic problems. We adopt the analytical integration as much as possible in this method. This approach has the advantage of reducing the number of unknown variables and makes it easy to couple the BE region with the FE region. Some numerical results obtained by the proposed method are compared with measured ones.
