抄録

The origin of the G-type antiferromagnetism of RTiO₃ with R = La was studied. It was clarified that the crystal field from La lifts the t _2g degeneracy at Ti 3d orbitals. It was suggested that the GdFeO ₃-type distortion has a universal mechanism of controlling orbital-spin structure.
